Simon Sweeney | Milky Way, Stithians, Cornwall

A quick edit of my shot taken this morning on the 6 July 2016. I have to say what a beautiful place to take it with minimal light pollution.
I've been waiting about 6 months for clear skies, a new moon and wind to play in my favour to get the reflections. I must admit pretty stoked after this one and the wait has been worth it.

Before I knew it over thousands of views and and Sony was also interested in sharing my work.

On reflecting, hopefully my next shot will be better. I'll probably travel to get the Mên-an-Tol as the subject and then the milky way in the background. One year I will venture to shoot The Giant's Causeway with it's beauty of 40,000 interlocking basalt columns.

This has now inspired me to continue with astrophotography to the point of my proposed project of 'The effects of light pollution to our dark Skies' for my Masters project.

I'm over the moon that Sony have shared this several times on there twitter pages thank you Sony.
